Two bills before the Massachusetts legislature would allow the towns of Gosnold and Westport to change the name of the elected body that oversees day-to-day affairs from the "Board of Selectmen" to "Select Board."
"The members of the selectboard, previously known as selectmen, shall be known as selectboard members," the bill for Gosnold says.
