Bill Weld Criticizes Charlie Baker On Pot Shops

Former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld is not happy with at least one decision that the state's current governor made amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Weld penned an opinion piece for CommonWealth magazine this week. In it, he criticizes Governor Charlie Baker for not including recreational marijuana shops on the list of essential businesses that can stay open during the pandemic.

Maine Paper Mill Explodes

A paper mill in Jay, Maine exploded on Wednesday afternoon, but no one was hurt.

According to NBC News, the Androscoggin Mill, which is owned by Pixelle Specialty Solutions, blew up when the "digester" at the facility malfunctioned; the digested mixes wood chips, water, and chemicals to form paper.
