Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth Bill Galvin plans to seek an eighth consecutive term in office.

Galvin, 71, a Democrat who has served in the role since 1995, made the announcement on social media on Monday, January 24.

Boston mayor Michelle Wu is giving city employees more time to get vaccinated against coronavirus.

Unvaccinated city employees were set to be placed on unpaid leave on Monday, January 24. However, that won't happen — yet. Wu has pushed back the enforcement date of the vaccine mandate for city workers by one week.
