Former New York City mayor Bill de Blasio is set to join the Harvard Institute of Politics as a visiting fellow for the fall 2022 semester.
The former mayor, who grew up in Cambridge, plans to visit the Harvard Institute of Politics several times throughout the semester to partake in events during his visiting fellowship. He joins seven resident fellows, as The Harvard Crimsonreports.
A Jesuit middle school in Worcester that lost its ability to call itself Catholic because it flies a rainbow flag and a Black Lives Matter flag used to have Mass on campus once a month, according to a news story in The Boston Globe.
The story paraphrases the president of Nativity School, Thomas McKenney, as saying the school experienced a surge of fund raising after Bishop Robert McManus, the bishop of Worcester, yanked the school's Catholic identity in June. The story also states: "Although the school can no longer have monthly Mass on its grounds, students and teachers will attend at a church that welcomes them, McKenney said."
