Many religious schools may have to give up prekindergarten and child care if President Joe Biden's Build Back Better federal stimulus bill passes in its current form, school officials say.
The bill would provide about $400 billion in federal funds designed to expand access to early childhood services, including child care and preschool.

The Taunton mayor, who served as a state representative from 2011 to 2019, is interested in running for governor of Massachusetts. If she declares, she would be the second elected official in the Republican Party to do so. Thus far, former state representative Geoff Diehl (R-Whitman), who has former President Donald Trump's endorsement, is the only one.
