Bernie Sanders Says He Was One Of The Worst Waiters In America

U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) wants to raise the minimum wage for tipped employees, and made a revelation about his past when speaking about it on the U.S. Senate floor on Thursday.
Sanders said he wants to raise the minimum wage from tipped workers from $2.13 an hour to $14.95 an hour over seven years — close to the $15 minimum wage he supports for other workers. (Minimum wage is typically lower in certain service industries such as waiting tables because waiters and waitresses get tips from customers.)
