While many people might think of bears as an animal that lives in northern New England, at least one bear was spotted south of Boston in Plymouth County over the weekend.
The Hanson Police Department reported on Facebook on Sunday that a bear had once again been spotted in town. This time, the bear was in the Whitman Street area. Police urged people to leave the bear alone, saying that in turn the bear would also leave them alone. The department also urged people to secure their trash barrels and bird feeders in response to the sighting.
The average price of gas has hit more than $3.00 per gallon in the United States, including a few New England states.
The average price nationwide is $3.045 per gallon — and while it's still below $3.00 per gallon in Massachusetts ($2.921), two New England states aren't so lucky, as AAA reports.
