Ban Bottled Water, Cape Environmental Activists Say

Environmentalists are trying to ban bottled water in containers less than a gallon in 11 of the 15 towns on Cape Cod this spring.

Supporters claim that the plastic poses long-term hazards to the environment, and they don't see why people can't fill up reusable bottles with water from a tap instead of buying bottled water at a grocery store, according to The Cape Cod Times.

Patricia Saint Aubin is seeking her third term as a Massachusetts Republican State Committeewoman, and she has the backing of Taunton's new mayor.

Saint Aubin, of Norfolk, is running to represent the Norfolk, Bristol, & Middlesex Senate District. She has gotten the backing of former state representative Shauna O'Connell, a Republican who is now the first woman mayor of Taunton. O'Connell was elected mayor in November 2019.
