Apprehensions of Illegal Immigrants Up in Northern New England

U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported apprehending 449 people in a sector that includes northern New Hampshire, all of Vermont, and northern New York state during the fiscal year that ended September 30, more than a 50 percent increase over the previous year.

Video of Illegal Alien Stop Causing Outrage in Vermont

A Franklin County sheriff's deputy stopped an unregistered pickup truck in northern Vermont and determined that the driver was an illegal alien, so he called U.S. Border Patrol. Some in Vermont are objecting to that, and to language used by the Border Patrol agent to describe two illegal aliens in the truck.
