Anti-Sanctuary City Bill Moving in New Hampshire

A bill that would prohibit towns and cities in New Hampshire from enforcing policies that discourage cooperating with federal immigration authorities has cleared a key legislative committee in the state House of Representatives.

New Hampshire House Bill 266, called the Anti-Sanctuary Act, would prohibit municipal governments from prohibiting law enforcement officers from "inquiring about a person's immigration status, sending or requesting information from federal agencies, or exchanging information with other federal, state, or local governmental units."

Maine Town Official Invited To NRA Convention Because of Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolution

A northern Maine local official has been invited to address the convention of the National Rifle Association this summer because the town council he serves on declared the town a Second Amendment sanctuary.

Bob Kilcollins, who owns a gun shop in town, earlier this year presented the resolution to the town council of Fort Fairfield, a town of about 3,200 people on the New Brunswick border, east of Caribou.
