Anti-Gun Activists Marching 50 Miles To Smith & Wesson

Pro-gun-control activists started a 50-mile march from Worcester to Springfield to put heat on gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson, which is headquartered in the western Massachusetts city.

The march, called "50 Miles More," is meant to call to mind the civil rights march in Alabama from Selma to Montgomery in 1965, a distance of about 54 miles.

Great White Shark Washes Up in Truro

A dead 9-foot-long great white shark washed up on a beach in Truro on Thursday morning, state authorities and shark researchers said.

The shark had three lead weights in its stomach, according to the Atlantic Shark Conservancy, although researchers had not announced complete results from a necropsy as of Thursday afternoon.
