An American flag that draped the coffin of a World War II veteran was stored at the American Legion post in Falmouth, Maine, but it has gone missing and is presumed stolen.
The flag was kept in an oak case inside the building, which is often rented by organizations holding functions.
John Mejia, a staff member at the University of Vermont, subsisted on only water from Friday, February 16 through Thursday, February 22 to try to get a Black Lives Matter flown permanently on campus and to get increased funding and endorsement for anti-racism events.
