No Boston Bruins player will ever wear Number 22 ever again.
That's because the Bruins will retire the number before their Tuesday night game against the Carolina Hurricanes (formerly the Hartford Whalers), as the NHL's web site reports. They're retiring it in honor of former Boston Bruin Willie O'Ree, the first black National Hockey League player.
