State Senator Adam Hinds (D-Pittsfield) won't be the next lieutenant governor of Massachusetts.

He failed to receive support from at least 15 percent of the delegates at the Massachusetts Democratic Party convention in Worcester over the weekend; he got support from 12 percent of them.

College enrollment has taken a big hit in Massachusetts over the past few years.

In the spring 2019 semester, there were about 426,100 undergraduate students enrolled in colleges across the Commonwealth. However, there has been an 11 percent decrease in the number of undergraduate students enrolled at colleges in the state, as Axios reports— about 379,300 were enrolled in Massachusetts colleges in the spring 2022 semester.
