ACLU of Massachusetts Calls Putative ICE Raids ‘Inhumane and Xenophobic’

Reportedly planned raids by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement on illegal immigrants this coming weekend are "inhumane and xenophobic," the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts said.

The raids are reportedly supposed to take place Sunday, July 14 in at least 10 major cities. Boston isn't on the list of purported raids.

Fast Track for Vineyard Wind Just Got Slower

The Edgartown Conservation Commission has voted to deny an application from Vineyard Wind to lay electricity transmission cables about a mile east of Martha's Vineyard.

The commission voted 5-1 against the permit, saying the company has not shown that the cables won't hurt fish and other marine wildlife.
