A Message From Our CEO: New Series Are On The Way
NewBostonPost CEO Rafal Lipowicz

Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you well.

Over the past several months, our team has been hard at work on something many of you have already noticed: a completely redesigned NewBostonPost.

The response has exceeded our expectations.

Readers have told us they love the new look, the updated branding, the navy-and-gold color scheme, and the new Minuteman logo. More importantly, they appreciate that the site is easier to navigate, easier to read, and more enjoyable to use whether they’re visiting from a desktop, tablet, or mobile device.

For the first time in our history, NewBostonPost is operating on a fully customized platform built specifically for our audience and mission. This wasn’t simply a cosmetic refresh. It was an investment in the future of our organization and a foundation for the growth we believe lies ahead.

I would be remiss if I didn’t recognize the outstanding work of our digital services partner, Proven ROI, and especially John Cronin. John’s vision, technical expertise, and countless hours of work helped transform an ambitious idea into reality. The result is a modern platform that positions NewBostonPost for continued growth and innovation for years to come.

And that growth is already happening.

One of the clearest examples is The Morning Bell, our weekday email newsletter that arrives in inboxes between 7:00 and 7:30 each morning. Featuring a curated roundup of the previous day’s top stories, commentary, and analysis, The Morning Bell has quickly become one of our most popular products.

What began as a simple way to keep readers informed has evolved into one of our most effective audience engagement tools. With our subscriber base approaching 18,000 readers, The Morning Bell continues to introduce new audiences to NewBostonPost while strengthening our connection with loyal readers who start each day with us.

We’ve also seen tremendous growth in our Spotlight interview series. Spotlight has become one of NewBostonPost’s signature features, featuring conversations with elected officials, candidates, business leaders, educators, authors, clergy, and community leaders. These interviews reflect the values and mission of NewBostonPost while providing readers with thoughtful discussions that go beyond the daily headlines.

Building upon that success, we are preparing to launch NewBostonPost Newsmakers, a new interview platform dedicated to featuring the individuals shaping today’s headlines throughout Massachusetts and beyond. Interest has already been strong, and we look forward to introducing readers to an even broader range of influential voices in the months ahead.

The recognition NewBostonPost has received over the past year has been both humbling and encouraging. We have heard from national radio hosts, television journalists, elected officials, business leaders, educators, and everyday readers who appreciate our commitment to thoughtful reporting, meaningful commentary, and civil discourse.

Looking ahead, our newsroom continues to grow.

Under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief Tom Joyce, NewBostonPost continues to broaden both the depth and breadth of its coverage. Tom has done an outstanding job leading a growing newsroom while maintaining the editorial standards our readers have come to expect. We are also grateful for the contributions of writers such as Susan Arico and Stephanie Rasmuson, whose work has brought fresh perspectives, thoughtful storytelling, and new voices to our pages.

As we continue to grow, readers can expect additional contributors, expanded coverage areas, and more original reporting in the months ahead.

One example of that growth came directly from our readers.

Initially, we had no plans to make the FIFA World Cup a major editorial focus. Plenty of outlets were already covering the matches, scores, stadiums, transportation logistics, and tournament operations. But our readers told us something different. They wanted coverage from a fan’s perspective—where to watch, what to eat, how to experience the tournament, and how Massachusetts communities were celebrating the world’s biggest sporting event.

From those conversations, the idea for our World Cup Concierge series was born.

Beginning later this week, NewBostonPost will launch a first-of-its-kind seven-part series designed specifically for everyday fans. Rather than focusing solely on what happens on the field, we’ll explore the culture, traditions, food, watch parties, supporter groups, and local connections that make the World Cup such a unique global event.

Beyond the World Cup, our sports coverage continues to expand, while our arts, entertainment, dining, travel, and lifestyle reporting continues to grow as well.

Readers can also expect more in-depth investigative journalism. Stephen Beale continues to pursue important stories involving public accountability, government transparency, public safety, and issues that often go uncovered elsewhere. His work remains an important part of our mission and reflects our commitment to serious journalism that informs and serves the public.

We are equally excited about expanding opportunities for our advertising partners. As our audience grows, so does our ability to connect businesses, schools, nonprofits, and organizations with an engaged and loyal readership.

Most importantly, we remain committed to serving you.

NewBostonPost was founded on the belief that readers deserve thoughtful journalism, honest reporting, diverse viewpoints, and a forum for meaningful discussion. While our platform has evolved, our mission remains unchanged.

The momentum we are experiencing today is the direct result of our readers, subscribers, contributors, advertisers, and supporters who continue to believe in what we are building.

If NewBostonPost has become part of your daily routine, we hope you will tell a friend, family member, neighbor, or colleague about us. And if you have not already subscribed, please consider doing so. Your support helps us keep growing, keep reporting, and keep serving readers across Massachusetts and beyond.

On behalf of our entire team, thank you for your continued readership, support, and trust.

The next chapter of NewBostonPost is already underway, and we are excited to build it together.

The best is yet to come.

Sincerely,

Rafal
