Digital First Media, which owns The Denver Post and The Lowell Sun, got approval from a bankruptcy judge Friday to buy The Boston Herald for $11.9 million.

The judge gave current owner Patrick J. Purcell and Digital First Media until March 28 to complete the sale, according to Boston Business Journal.
