17-Year-Old High School Senior Debuts As ‘Drag Princess’

The senior at Portland High School in Maine, who was elected prom queen last spring, performed in drag as "Famine" during a fund raiser called Out On Ice!  He told the reporter he has hurt himself and been hospitalized, but that drag makes him feel different:  "When I do it, I feel loved, and I don't get a lot of validation otherwise"; his freshman English teacher said, "When he was in my class freshman year, I don't think he knew where to place himself, so it's good to see him embrace who he is."
