150% Increase in MBTA Track Deaths

A new committee is studying why so many people are dying on Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority tracks. Twenty people were struck and killed by trains during fiscal year 2017 (which ended this past June 30), up from eight the previous fiscal year.

UMass ‘Graduate’ Can’t Get Diploma Because of Unresolved Sex Complaint Made Nearly A Year Ago

The unnamed man has filed a federal lawsuit against the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He gets solicitations for alumni donations but was barred from graduation and hasn't gotten a diploma because of a sex complaint a female student made against him to school authorities that has yet to have a campus hearing, even though key potential witnesses have all left campus, including the man who was accused.
